After breakfast, drive to explore Bumla Pass and Sangestar Lake. The Sangestar Lake, also known as Madhuri Lake, is about 20 km from Tawang, en route to the road leading to Bum La Pass. The lake has been surrounded by wonderfully lush valleys and snow-capped mountains. A leisure walk is the best way to explore the picturesque surroundings of the lake. Bumla Pass, situated at an altitude of over 15,000 ft is snowbound for almost the entire year due to its steep elevation and presents a beautiful view of the Tibetan plateau. The road to the pass takes visitors through many sleepy hamlets and scenic lakes, making the drive memorable. Maintained by the Indian Army, Bumla Pass is a must for those who want to see how Indian soldiers protect the borders in the harshest of climes. Note: Our vehicles are not allowed for Bumla Pass, PTSo lake, and Madhuri lake sightseeing at Tawang. Therefore, guests have to hire a local Vehicle where our driver will assist the guest, but please note that we have no control over there. Bumla Pass is accessible only by permission of the Deputy Commissioner in Tawang District and the Indian army of Tawang.
